Author Funda Demir stabs ex-husband to death
Author Funda Demir stabbed her ex-husband, Mustafa Çapar, whom she had been married to for 22 years before divorcing, in the throat, killing him.
In Beşiktaş, author Funda Demir stabbed her ex-husband in the throat, killing him. Author Demir surrendered to the police after the murder.
The incident occurred in the Akat neighborhood of Beşiktaş at approximately 00:45. According to allegations, an argument broke out between author Funda Demir (47) and her ex-husband Mustafa Çapar (49) for an unknown reason.
During the argument, Funda Demir stabbed Mustafa Çapar, to whom she had been married for 22 years and divorced about 2 years ago, in the throat.
Çapar lost his life at the scene. Police teams arriving at the crime scene upon notification apprehended Funda Demir with the knife used in the incident and took her into custody.
Demir was arrested by judicial authorities on charges of "intentional homicide" and sent to prison.
