Avalanche occurs off-piste at Kayseri Erciyes Ski Center
An avalanche occurred at the Kayseri Erciyes Ski Center in the Ottoman region after two people skiing off-piste triggered a snow mass. While it was stated that no one was trapped under the avalanche, teams from the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) were dispatched to the scene as a precaution. According to initial assessments, there are no casualties.
An avalanche occurred in an off-piste area at the Kayseri Erciyes Ski Center. It was determined that the avalanche was triggered when 2 people skiing off-piste in the Ottoman region set a mass of snow in motion.
According to initial assessments, it is believed that no one was trapped under the avalanche.
