The repercussions of the investigation into Ayhan Bora Kaplan and his associates, who were arrested on charges of leading a criminal organization known in the Ankara underworld as the “Kaplans,” continue.
While debates persist regarding whether his connections within the police and judiciary will be investigated following Kaplan's arrest, another critical development has occurred within the Ankara Police Department.
According to a report by Asuman Aranca from T24; it has been learned that Alp Aslan, known as one of the names in the close working team of former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and who served as the Head of the Organized Crime Branch in Ankara for a long time, has been suspended.
In addition to Aslan, Deputy Police Chief Volkan Murat Kaşıkçı, who previously oversaw public order for a time, and Mukadder Kardiyen were also among those suspended.
