His name was linked to the Ayhan Bora Kaplan file: Execution in front of his home

The name of the company Ayyıldız Tunnel Equipment, one of the firms seized as part of the Ayhan Bora Kaplan case, has now made headlines due to a murder. İbrahim Ulucan, known as the right-hand man of Ozan Can Yıldız, a 50 percent partner in the Ayyıldız firm and a detained suspect in the "money laundering" case involving 38 defendants including Kaplan, was subjected to an armed attack in front of his home on the evening of Friday, August 9. Ulucan, who was struck by 5 bullets, died at the scene. 

According to the report by Asuman Aranca from T24, while it is stated that the person who killed Ulucan is an Iranian national, it was noted that Doğan Kaan Yıldız, one of the fugitive suspects in the same case, and Nezihi Ataç, described as his close associate, are also being sought as part of the murder investigation. Whether there is an organization behind the murder is currently being investigated.

'LOYAL TO THE POINT OF TAKING THE BLAME'

On the other hand, fugitive Doğan Kaan Yıldız is among the defendants in both cases opened against Kaplan regarding the organization and money laundering allegations. In one of the indictments, Yıldız is described with the phrase "loyal to Kaplan to the point of taking the blame for his crimes." Accordingly, Yıldız was the owner of the company where the vehicle with license plate "06 ABK 025," used by Kaplan, was registered. When Kaplan was caught in a traffic stop in the same vehicle, he claimed the Glock-brand pistol and the large amount of cash found in the vehicle were "his own," taking the blame. Yıldız also draws attention for being the owner of the bankrupt firm Elmacı Markets, where hundreds of people were defrauded, along with Serdar Sertçelik, a fugitive suspect in the file who was caught in Hungary and revealed to be a secret witness. The indictment also states that Yıldız shot Mehmet Akif Çetin in the legs under Kaplan's instructions. Yıldız, who was detained during the first operation within the scope of the investigation, was later released. After a while, his critical role in the file was understood, but Yıldız had already disappeared. The name of Yıldız, for whom an arrest warrant has been issued, has now come to the fore with the Ulucan murder.

GUNS SPOKE DURING THE RAID

Meanwhile, striking allegations have been made regarding the background of the Ulucan murder. In one of the events reflected in the supplementary folders of the Kaplan file, it is stated that Doğan Kaan Yıldız, who left the partnership after founding the Ayyıldız firm, demanded money from time to time from his older brother Ozan Can Yıldız, who is a 50 percent partner in the firm, even though he had no outstanding debt, and that he once went to raid the company with several of his men. According to the information in the file, it is described that after Doğan Kaan Yıldız sent threatening messages, he went to the company with his men, and at that moment, İbrahim Ulucan, who was in the company and is stated to be Ozan Can Yıldız's right-hand man, responded with gunfire by shooting into the air at Doğan Kaan Yıldız and those with him. It is stated that Ulucan and others who were at the company during the raid filed complaints against Doğan Kaan Yıldız and his men, but that the complaint was withdrawn some time after this incident, which took place in June 2022, because Doğan Kaan Yıldız was a name close to Kaplan. One of the people Doğan Kaan Yıldız went to raid the workplace with is Nezihi Ataç, who is being sought as part of the Ulucan murder. 

HE ORGANIZED THE MURDER AND THEN ARRANGED THE HITMAN

Although this incident where Ulucan responded with gunfire appears to be the source of the hostility between him and Doğan Kaan Yıldız, different allegations are also being discussed regarding the murder. According to this, it is among the allegations that after the arrest of Kaplan and Ayyıldız firm partner Ozan Can Yıldız, Ulucan was excluded from the company and therefore sent word to Ozan Can Yıldız, threatening him that they would "talk." It is also claimed that it was decided to kill Ulucan after this threat, and that fugitive Doğan Kaan Yıldız, together with his close associate Ataç, arranged the hitman after organizing the murder. Meanwhile, it was learned that Ataç, who is still being sought, was also among those detained and released as part of the Kaplan investigation, and that the investigation into him was separated from the main file and is being conducted under a different number.
