Ayşe Ateş requests information and documents from MIT Chief Kalın: 'We know this is a lie'

Sinan Ateş was killed in an armed attack in Ankara 2 years ago. The search for justice initiated by his wife, Ayşe Ateş, following his death continues. 

Ayşe Ateş addressed MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın, stating that there are allegations that a report was prepared by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) claiming her husband, Sinan Ateş, was a member of the FETÖ terrorist organization.

In her call to MIT Chief Kalın on her X account, Ayşe Ateş used the following expressions:

"Dear MIT Undersecretary İbrahim Kalın, today is the second anniversary of my husband Sinan Ateş being murdered and torn away from us. The fierce defenders of Sinan's killers have been using your institution's name to conduct black propaganda for two years.

This dark structure respects neither pain nor tears. To further poison this day, which is already dark and painful for us, they have once again organized the circulation of a text in which your institution's name is mentioned.

This text includes the claim that 'the MIT presented a file to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stating that Sinan Ateş was a member of FETÖ'.

"We demand that you initiate the necessary legal proceedings against these individuals and institutions that cast aspersions on your institution"

We know this is a lie, but we cannot make sense of your institution remaining silent for two years in the face of this black propaganda, which uses its name in relation to a political murder that wounds the public conscience.

If we are mistaken, we demand that you share the information and documents in your possession, and if we are not mistaken, that you inform the public that such a document does not exist; and we demand that you initiate the necessary legal proceedings against these individuals and institutions that cast aspersions on our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and your institution."
