Ayşe Ateş responds to 'commissioned' accusations from Akit columnist: 'Let their palate get used to the taste'
Ayşe Ateş, who has been visiting political party leaders to seek support for the trial scheduled for July, was targeted by Akit columnist Ali Karahasanoğlu. Ateş did not delay in responding to the Akit columnist, who targeted both Sinan Ateş's sister and the CHP in his article.
As the trial date approaches, statements from the MHP front have increased, and the threatening language in some of these statements has drawn backlash.
Meanwhile, Sinan Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, continues to meet with political leaders during this process to keep the assassination in the public eye and pursue her struggle.
ACCUSATIONS AGAINST AYŞE ATEŞ FROM AKIT COLUMNIST
Most recently, Akit columnist Ali Karahasanoğlu targeted Ayşe Ateş in an article he penned.
In his article titled "When will Sinan Ateş's wife meet with the HDP, or even Kandil!", Karahasanoğlu attacked both Ateş and the media, stating, "If this CHP, this Cumhuriyet newspaper, this BirGün newspaper... are carrying the words of the grieving wife of Sinan Ateş to their front pages. The grieving wife should ask herself: 'Where am I going wrong?'"
Karahasanoğlu used the following words in his article:
If Sinan Ateş's wife has any information she has conveyed to the political party leaders she met with, why is she hiding it from the public? If there is no information she conveyed to those party leaders, what is she hoping for from these meetings? Is someone keeping Sinan Ateş's wife under influence to hold these meetings?
HE ACCUSED SINAN ATEŞ'S SISTER OF LYING
It is not just Sinan Ateş's wife, but his sister and other members of his family who are constantly being brought to the agenda in the same framework. The latest incident is the claim that Sinan Ateş's sister was followed while returning from having breakfast at a municipal social facility. Interestingly, the sister claims that she was followed from her home to the social facility, that the same people watched her while she was having breakfast, and that the surveillance continued afterward. Does this sound convincing to you?
If a person whose brother was subjected to murder leaves their home to go to a social facility for breakfast and notices they are being watched, they either change their destination, give up, or call the police without letting the suspicious individuals notice. The sister, who did none of these, is filing a complaint, presumably because someone influenced her to make such a complaint later on.
The Bursa Governor's Office is examining the cameras along the route, and the claim turns out to be baseless. But what is important is not that the claim is baseless, but that it is discussed for days. It is about creating an atmosphere of "Wow, not only is Sinan Ateş himself, not only his wife, but his sister is also being followed, she is also under pressure." It is about constantly creating an agenda around the name Sinan Ateş.
Even if you arrested half of Turkey's population because of the Sinan Ateş murder, these people would still not refrain from asking the question: "Where is Sinan Ateş's killer?" The prosecutor says "the killer is here" and has them arrested... The judge says "the killer is these people" and has them arrested.
They are still saying "where is the killer." Then we ask them, "You must know the killer, tell us so they can be interrogated, and arrested if necessary." Their answer is: "We don't know, let the state find them."
Gentlemen and ladies, have you lost your minds, or are you trying to make us lose ours? You go to the CHP, which has been hostile to idealists (Ülkücü) all their lives, and tell them your troubles. You find the arrest of 22 people insufficient and say, "let there be more arrests." Then let me give you a suggestion. They are very skilled in these matters.
"GO TO THE HDP AND ASK THEM FOR HELP"
Go to the HDP and ask them for help. They will turn everything upside down. They set all of Turkey on fire by saying, "Why isn't aid going to Kobani?" If the principles you claim Sinan Ateş defended while he was alive have no value in your eyes, then ask the HDP for help too.
In fact, there is no harm in it; pay a visit to Kandil and request support regarding the imaginary mastermind killer. Perhaps they might have some suggestions for you as well.
Our reminder is to everyone who says they are conservative. Do not fall for the games of those who exploit your pain, your feelings, and your grievances. Do not pin your hopes on those who are heartless enough to even ban the headscarf you wear, as if they would find your husband's killer.
AYŞE ATEŞ: 'WHOEVER HAD YOU WRITE THIS ARTICLE...'
Ayşe Ateş, the wife of Sinan Ateş, did not delay in responding to the article in question.
Sharing on her social media account, Ateş said, "Whoever had you write this commissioned article, you should order them a quince. Let their palate get used to the taste."
Ayşe Ateş's response is as follows:
Mr. Ali İhsan Karahasanoğlu, I would like to provide you with some information about the file you are not very familiar with and fill in the gaps in your article.
First of all, you said, "They are all inside until the hitman is brought to Ankara, and even until he is taken back to Istanbul." But you did not mention the allocated vehicle with license plate 06 AT 5021 in which the hitman was transported. Perhaps they did not tell you this detail.
Then you continued as follows: "Who knows, perhaps the real masterminds of the murder have already planned and written the developments we are experiencing today in order to carry out the perception operations they will create through this incident." However, immediately afterward—at the expense of contradicting yourself—you said that the mastermind is known and that we produced an imaginary mastermind. I have shared with both the prosecutor's office and the public who the masterminds of this heinous murder committed against my husband are. You have not heard. Look at the 17 people whose files were separated. You can find their names there.
I ask you, Ali İhsan Karahasanoğlu: What kind of mastermind is Tolgahan Demirbaş that—again, speaking based on the evidence in the indictment—he constantly receives instructions from Ülkü Ocakları (Idealist Hearths) President Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım to collect information about Sinan Ateş during the preparation phase of this vile assassination.
"NEW EVIDENCE IS ALREADY WITH THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE"
In the rest of your article, you implied that we do not have any documents, and you questioned why we did not give them to the prosecutor's office if we had any. Your ignorance comes to the fore here as well. Because we are questioning why the evidence and statements in the file were not included in the indictment, for what reason the investigation of the 17 people was separated from this indictment, why all the evidence was not gathered under a single roof, and for what purpose all the suspects were not handled in the same indictment. In other words, the evidence is already with the prosecutor's office. As you can see, a murder that has already been solved is being dragged out by a dark hand in an attempt to gain time.
"Then the grieving wife pays visits to the enemies of the Idealists and holds meetings with them." I assume your words do not target our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and I will not comment on that. But I cannot pass without asking you this: What should I do? Should I go to the doors of those who did not offer their condolences, those who murdered my husband? Even you, in your article, have passed judgment on the currently imprisoned Ülkü Ocakları Vice Presidents, the MHP official, and the MHP parliamentary candidate by saying "all those involved in this crime are inside."
In the article you penned, you constantly contradicted yourself, denying in one line what you said in the line before. I think the reason for this is that you do not have knowledge about the incident. I wish you had gathered a little more information about the before and after of this vile assassination and then penned your article. That would have been more correct and more equitable for you.
"WHOEVER HAD YOU WRITE THIS COMMISSIONED ARTICLE..."
You ended your article as follows: "If this CHP, this Cumhuriyet newspaper, this Birgün newspaper... are carrying the words of the grieving wife of Sinan Ateş to their front pages. The grieving wife should ask herself: 'Where am I going wrong?'"
No, I am asking this: Why do the media organizations that pursue the cause Sinan gave his life for not make an effort to shed light on this vile assassination? Why do they act as if Sinan was never killed?
If you have finished reading what I have written, whoever had you write this commissioned article, you should order them a quince. Let their palate get used to the taste.
Mr. Ali İhsan Karahasanoğlu, I would like to provide you with some information about the file you are not very familiar with and fill in the gaps in your article.
