Ayşe Ateş takes a jab at MHP: 'The DEM Party came to them'
Ayşe Ateş, wife of former Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) President Sinan Ateş, who was assassinated in Ankara, gave a sharp response to MHP members who criticized her by asking, 'Are you going to go to the DEM Party too?', by sharing footage of the parties' holiday greetings: 'The DEM Party came to them.'
Former Idealist Hearths President Sinan Ateş lost his life as a result of an armed attack in Ankara on December 30, 2022. While Ateş's family claims the murder was committed for political reasons, they have argued that certain political allegations and names were not included in the court proceedings during the investigation process.

The Ateş family, who have made statements implying that there is an attempt to cover up the murder, has continued their search for justice by establishing contact with opposition parties, primarily the CHP.
Sinan Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, has been frequently targeted on social media by certain accounts close to the MHP.
Due to Ayşe Ateş's visits to political parties, those accounts were targeting her by asking, 'When are you going to the DEM Party?'
However, an interesting development occurred in Turkey's changing political climate: MHP and DEM Party representatives came together and initiated a dialogue process.
Ayşe Ateş also shared the moments when the MHP went to the DEM Party for the holiday and stated the following:
'While I was knocking on the doors of political parties and seeking support in our fight for justice, they were using hate speech by asking, “When are you going to the DEM?” The DEM Party came to them.'
