Ayşe Barım's brother and friend detained

In the investigation into Ayşe Barım, who was arrested on charges of "attempting to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey or to prevent it from performing its duties," Barım's lawyer brother, I.S.G., and a friend who is a doctor have been detained on allegations of attempting to tamper with evidence belonging to Barım.

According to a report by Ekol TV, it was determined that lawyer I.S.G., who had access to Ayşe Barım's bank safe deposit box, and a doctor friend went to the bank in Levent on the night of the morning Barım was detained and removed a sack and an envelope from the safe.

It was learned that there was gold inside the envelope. Upon the discovery of this situation, Barım's brother, lawyer I.S.G., and his doctor friend were detained on charges of "destroying and concealing evidence."

Lawyer I.S.G. and his doctor friend stated in their testimonies, "If a trustee had been appointed to our company, we would have been in a difficult situation. We took the money and gold to avoid this situation." Additionally, many actors had previously given statements as 'witnesses' regarding the investigation.

Finally, screenwriter Mehmet Bozdağ also came to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan today to give a statement to the prosecutor's office in the capacity of a 'person with information'.
