Ayyüce Türkeş named as İYİ Party's Adana Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate

İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener has announced Ayyüce Türkeş Taş, the daughter of Alparslan Türkeş, as the party's candidate for Adana Metropolitan Municipality.

In her speech at the Adana Provincial Headquarters, Akşener stated that they had been unable to visit provincial organizations for a long time due to Covid-19 and had been working to build the party.

Stating that they would announce the mayoral candidates for the metropolitan and district municipalities in Adana today, Akşener said that Ayyüce Türkeş Taş is the candidate for Adana Metropolitan Municipality. Expressing her belief that Ayyüce Türkeş Taş will become the Adana Metropolitan Mayor in this term, Akşener said, "It will truly happen. So, without even fully enjoying your time as a member of parliament, a heavy responsibility and a difficult task like the mayorship awaits you."

Akşener expressed her belief that Ayyüce Türkeş Taş will be elected and stated that she would provide all kinds of support as the Chair if necessary. She added that Ayyüce Türkeş Taş accepted the candidacy on behalf of her party, and out of her love for the nation and Adana.
