Azerbaijani criminal organization member captured in Marmaris
An Azerbaijani member of a criminal organization, who is banned from entering the country, was captured during a joint operation targeting wanted individuals conducted by the Muğla Police Department's Intelligence and Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) branches, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's KOM Department.
An Azerbaijani national identified as E.A., who was determined by Russian authorities to be a member of the "Thieves in Law" criminal organization and affiliated with the Janiyev criminal group, and who was subject to a G-26 restriction code (individuals banned from entering the country), was captured in the Marmaris district.
It was announced that the necessary judicial proceedings have been initiated against the member of the "Thieves in Law" criminal organization, which is known for international organized crime, extortion, and money laundering activities, and typically consists of individuals with prison backgrounds.
