Bayraktar stated, "We are inaugurating the Turkey-Syria Natural Gas Pipeline, which serves as a symbol of Turkey-Syria friendship in the energy sector."
Announcing the news, Bayraktar said the following:
“Once our work is completed, our connection capacity will reach 861 megawatts, and we will be meeting the electricity needs of 1.6 million households in Syria.”
It had previously been announced that Syria, where a new life is being established following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad, had reached an agreement with Turkey in the field of energy. This marks a concrete step taken in that direction.
