Baby Sıla's body has been released
The body of baby Sıla, who lost her month-long battle for life at Tekirdağ City Hospital, has been released from the morgue.
Two-year-old Sıla Y., who was reported to have been subjected to sexual abuse and violence, passed away yesterday at Tekirdağ City Hospital, where she had been receiving treatment for a month.
Little Sıla, who was allegedly subjected to sexual abuse and violence by the children of her neighbors in the Malkara district, had been fighting for her life while intubated in intensive care. While her family waited hopefully outside the hospital, the baby's condition worsened as she failed to respond to medication, resulting in her death.

While the investigation into the incident continues, with 5 people currently in custody including her mother Bakiye Y. and the neighbor's children, baby Sıla's body was collected from the Tekirdağ City Hospital morgue by her family.

The baby's two aunts were overcome with grief as they received the body. The funeral will be held at the Altınova New Mosque, followed by burial at the New City Cemetery.
