According to the Kandilli Observatory, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Göynücek district of Amasya at 22:53.
The depth of the earthquake was recorded as 6 kilometers.
In a statement regarding the earthquake, the Amasya Governor's Office said, "On March 21, 2025, at 22:53, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter in our Göynücek district. No reports of any negative incidents have been received following the earthquake, and field assessment efforts are ongoing."

Approximately 2 hours later, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 occurred in the same region.
