In a statement regarding the earthquake, the Amasya Governor's Office said, "On March 21, 2025, at 22:53, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter in our Göynücek district. No reports of any negative incidents have been received following the earthquake, and field assessment efforts are ongoing."
