Backlash against Bein Sports over 'indefinite membership' bill! They charged the credit card in the middle of the night
Journalist Miray Özbilek has become a victim of Digitürk / Bein Sports. Despite her subscription ending, she was faced with a new bill under the name of an indefinite membership, and a payment was taken from her father's credit card in the middle of the night without notice. Özbilek shared her reaction and warnings on her social media account. She stated that they are considering taking legal action.
Digitürk / Bein Sports customers have recently been expressing their reactions due to unexpected bills and difficulties in accessing customer service.
What happened to journalist Miray Özbilek has become a prominent example of the problems in this area.
Özbilek's family started a 12-month Sports Package subscription last year, paying 279 TL every month. Although the subscription end date was July 2025, the family encountered a new bill of 8,148 TL in their account with a due date of August 15, 2025.
It was stated that the bill was created without their knowledge and with the description of an "indefinite membership."
MONEY WITHDRAWN FROM THE ACCOUNT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
While the family was trying to understand the high-amount debt, they were shaken by another significant development. It was learned that an amount of 8,148 TL was withdrawn from Özbilek's father's credit card at 03:00 in the morning, before the debt was even paid. The fact that the withdrawal took place without any approval or notification caused reactions to escalate.

Sharing a message on her social media account regarding the issue, Miray Özbilek said, "An indefinite membership was opened in the system without our approval, and money was withdrawn from our family's credit card without permission. We have no choice but to seek our legal rights."
Following these developments, the family tried to reach Digitürk / Bein Sports customer service multiple times. However, they could not get any results as the phone line was constantly busy or they could not connect at all. The family announced that they would go to the center for a face-to-face meeting and would apply to the prosecutor's office if a solution could not be provided.
Özbilek stated that although she tried to draw attention to the issue on social media platforms, they did not see the support they expected.
"It is surprising that such a large platform has not been able to resolve our grievance. There are many people experiencing similar problems, but our voices are not being heard," she said, expressing her reaction.
While it is observed that the number of subscribers experiencing similar problems in the digital broadcasting sector in Turkey is increasing, according to the Law on the Protection of Consumers, no membership can be automatically extended or fees collected without the explicit consent of the consumer.
Experts recommend that in such cases, one should first contact the company through official communication channels, and if no results are obtained, one should apply to consumer arbitration committees and the judiciary.
