Bad news for consumers! Sunflower oil prices are set to rise
Hot weather and sunflower seed stocks in Ukraine falling below 1 million tons have driven prices up. The increase in crude sunflower oil prices in the international market is expected to be reflected on domestic shelves.
Hot weather conditions, along with rising demand from India and Europe, as well as sunflower seed stocks in Ukraine falling below 1 million tons, have triggered a rise in crude oil prices. In the last month, the price of crude sunflower oil has risen by nearly 20 percent, climbing from 870 dollars to 1,030 dollars.
According to the report in Dünya newspaper, industry representatives, stating that the price increases in the international market will also be reflected in the domestic market, indicate that there could be a 10 percent increase in sunflower oil prices after the holiday and in July.
