Bad news for Özgür Özel: Zeydan Karalar's decision on the New Party

Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar, who was removed from office by the Ministry of Interior, announced that he would not join the new party announced by Özgür Özel. Karalar stated that he would continue his political life under the roof of the Republican People's Party (CHP).

"I HAVE BEEN A CHP MEMBER FOR 54 YEARS"

Responding to journalist Hilal Köylü's question, "Will you join the New Party?", Karalar said, "I will stay in the CHP. I have been a CHP member for 54 years. I am not concerned with individuals. The struggle must be continued within the CHP, which is one of Atatürk's two great works."

Karalar had previously been released after a detention period of more than six months. During that time, he had thanked Özgür Özel many times for the support he provided.
