Bahçeli targeted them, those journalists responded: Which journalists are involved?

Journalists Şule Aydın, Barış Pehlivan, and Murat Ağırel, whom MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli targeted by calling them "four clown reporters," responded to Bahçeli through their social media accounts.

In his statement, Murat Ağırel drew attention to the file that Sinan Ateş had presented to Bahçeli before his murder:

"We are journalists. Questioning is in our nature. As we question corruption, lawlessness, and murders, we illuminate our country. Let us not hide from the people what God knows: I am one of the four journalists targeted by Bahçeli. Yesterday, I went to the courthouse to observe the trial of those who murdered Sinan Ateş. I questioned the shortcomings that were shoved in all of our faces during the case.

The language used by Devlet Bahçeli today was also used yesterday by Tolgahan Demirbaş, who is being tried as an instigator of the murder. Certain newspapers ran the same headlines. The hitman who killed Sinan Ateş, Eray Özyağcılar, made a gun gesture at us.

I ask clearly: Why is the MHP leader uncomfortable with the trial of the murderers of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş?

Why does he target those who question the murderers? Is there something we don't know? Instead of threatening us, I wish Bahçeli would disclose the file that Sinan Ateş presented to him before the murder. That way, we could all understand the reason for the murder. As for the threats and targeting, they mean nothing to us!"

Journalist Barış Pehlivan responded to Bahçeli's statements by saying, "I am one of the 'four clown reporters.' Let it be recorded."

Şule Aydın, who hosts the program 'Kayda Geçsin' (Let it be Recorded) on Halk TV, also shared Bahçeli's speech after reposting Pehlivan's post, adding the note, "What will you do?"

WHAT DID BAHÇELİ SAY?

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli said in today's group meeting, "We will not let owls hoot at our door, and we will pluck and tear off the wings of vultures that flap them. I am calling out from here: Halk TV and the Republican People's Party (CHP), watch your step. You cannot question the MHP with four clown reporters; we will not allow it."
