In the message shared on the MHP's social media account, Bahçeli stated that Çanakkale is one of the most powerful examples of the historical struggle waged by the nation with unity and faith.

"The invading forces that launched an assault with the desire to trample the homeland, bring the nation to its knees, and reverse history, found before them a wisdom that had conquered fear, a heroism that had long since donned its shroud, and the dignity of a nation united under the same flag, regardless of origin, sect, creed, or region. On the 111th anniversary of the March 18 Çanakkale Victory, I commemorate with mercy, gratitude, and appreciation our heroic martyrs who fell for the sake of the homeland, the nation, and sacred values, led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, and I bow with respect before their cherished memories."
