Ban lifted, Fahrettin Altun shares Haniye message: Warning comes from Instagram

Instagram, which was shut down citing 'catalog crimes' and remained inaccessible for a week, has been reopened for use following the announcement that an 'agreement has been reached'.

Following the return of Instagram, which millions of citizens were deprived of for a week, posts began to appear one after another.

One of these posts was made by Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun. Altun commemorated Ismail Haniye with a post on his social media account.

Communications Director Altun included the following statements in his post:

“On the 10th day of his martyrdom, I commemorate the martyr Ismail Haniye with mercy and gratitude.

Our struggle will continue under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan until Palestine is free and those who commit crimes of genocide against humanity are held accountable.”

INSTAGRAM'S HAMAS WARNING DRAWS ATTENTION

After the platform was reopened following the consensus reached with META officials, there was curiosity about how Instagram would react to Haniye messages being shared. The note added to the post made by Minister of Culture and Tourism Ersoy revealed the path to be followed from now on.

The new warning Instagram introduced for Hamas posts is as follows:

"This post goes against Community Guidelines but has been left on Instagram for public awareness."
