In a statement issued by the District Governorate, it was stated, "It has been determined that certain groups have made calls on social media platforms to organize various protests and events within the borders of our district.

It has been assessed that such events, whether planned or likely to take place, could threaten public order and security, disrupt social peace, and negatively affect the fundamental rights and freedoms of our citizens.

In this context, in order to prevent the commission of crimes, protect general health and public morality or the rights and freedoms of others, and ensure public order and security, all types of open and closed-area activities (meetings, marches, press statements, sit-ins, setting up stands, pitching tents, distributing leaflets, protest actions, etc.) to be carried out within the scope of this matter within the borders of Şişli district have been banned by the Şişli District Governorate for a period of one day, effective from June 22, 2025."
