Bank blocks lifted for Aziz İhsan Aktaş and other defendants!
The Istanbul 1st High Criminal Court has issued a significant interim decision in a critical case. The blocks on the personal bank accounts of Aziz İhsan Aktaş and his co-defendants, who are being tried on serious charges including "establishing a criminal organization," "bribery," and "money laundering," were lifted ahead of the second hearing of the case.
ISTANBUL – A new development has occurred in the case of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, a key figure in investigations that shook Turkey's agenda, particularly those targeting CHP-run municipalities. The Istanbul 1st High Criminal Court ruled to terminate the restrictions on the defendants' bank accounts via an official letter sent to the Banks Association of Turkey.
COURT ISSUES "LIFT THE BLOCK" INSTRUCTION
According to the court decision dated April 15, 2026, the precautionary measures previously imposed by the Istanbul 9th Criminal Judgeship of Peace against Aziz İhsan Aktaş, Baki Nugay, Doğan Aktaş, Özkan Aktaş, and Ümit Gözütok have been canceled. The court ordered that the blocks on the defendants' personal bank accounts be lifted immediately.

The individuals whose bank account blocks were lifted are being tried under a highly controversial file in the public eye. The charges brought against the defendants include:
Establishing and managing a criminal organization,
Being a member of a criminal organization,
