Barzani thanks Erdoğan and Öcalan

The Şırnak Governorship, in cooperation with Şırnak University and the Cizre District Governorship, held the 4th Melaye Ciziri Symposium in Cizre with broad participation. In addition to Masoud Barzani, the program was attended by Deputy Minister of Interior Münir Karaloğlu, DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan, AKP Şırnak Deputy Arslan Tatar, HÜDA PAR Gaziantep Deputy Şehzade Demir, and Duhok Governor Ali Tatar.

SUPPORT FOR THE PEACE PROCESS FROM BARZANI

In his speech, where he made assessments regarding the peace process, Barzani expressed his gratitude to both AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan.

Barzani used the following expressions in his speech:

"We are very pleased with the new peace process that has started smoothly this time. Because the people, the parliament, and all political parties support the state. Here, I find it necessary to thank Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the people of Turkey, and its parliament for opening the door to peace, and we believe that this is the best door and the best option. I also congratulate Mr. Öcalan for taking a positive step. Here, we emphasize that we support the peace process with all our strength and will do everything in our power. Hopefully, positive results will be achieved."
