Beaten teacher withdraws complaint: Two brothers released
Teacher Yusuf E., who was beaten by two brothers—one of whom is an amateur boxer—following an argument in the garden of a kindergarten in Mardin, has withdrawn his complaint. The two brothers, who had been taken into custody, have been released.
In the Mazıdağı district of Mardin, two brothers arrived at the school where teacher Yusuf E. works and asked him to open the door. After teacher Yusuf E. told the individuals that he did not have the key and that they needed to go around to the front door, the ensuing argument quickly escalated into a fistfight. One of the brothers attacked with punches, while the other brother took off his belt and began striking Yusuf E. with it.
Following the fight, which was broken up by other teachers, Yusuf E. went to the hospital and obtained a medical report documenting his injuries. After Yusuf E. filed a complaint against the individuals along with his medical report, the two brothers were taken into custody.
'COMPLAINT WITHDRAWN'
Following the incident, the families of the parties intervened, and teacher Yusuf E. withdrew his complaint. The two brothers were released after giving their statements at the Mazıdağı District Police Department.
