Behind the scenes: 4 more ministers to be replaced in the Cabinet! The names have been revealed
Following the dismissal of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya and Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, it has been claimed that 4 more ministers in the Presidential Cabinet will be replaced.
With the decision published in the Official Gazette dated February 11 and signed by AKP Chairman and President Tayyip Erdoğan, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç and Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya were removed from their posts.
While Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek was appointed to replace Tunç, Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi was brought in to take Yerlikaya's seat.
LIMITED CHANGE OR COMPREHENSIVE REVISION IN THE CABINET?
The change in the two critical ministries is being evaluated in Ankara's political circles as the beginning of a wider cabinet revision. In AKP circles, it is being discussed that the appointments made may not be limited to this and that new changes may come to the agenda.
"AT LEAST FOUR OR FIVE MORE MINISTERS MAY CHANGE"
According to the report on halktv.com.tr, journalist Hilal Köylü stated that a larger transformation is expected in the cabinet that will not be limited to two ministries. Stating that there is information in AKP circles that four more ministries will change, Köylü said, "Changes are expected in four ministries: the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Ministry of Trade. Currently, there is information in Ankara that at least four or five more ministers will change."
