Behind the scenes of the drug operation... A power struggle within the government!
Nefes columnist Deniz Zeyrek wrote about the information conveyed from AKP corridors regarding the background of the drug operation that has been on the public agenda for days and involves famous names.
Nefes columnist Deniz Zeyrek brought to his column the inside information regarding the drug operation that resonated across Turkey and involved well-known names. The article stated that the operation is not only considered a narcotics investigation but is also being handled as a process that affects the balances within the government.
In the assessments Zeyrek based on AKP corridors, claims were included that the investigation is of a nature that could lead to political consequences.
WAS THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE UNDERMINED?
The article stated that the influence of Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç over the Istanbul judiciary has become a subject of debate. It was reported that assessments are being made in the corridors that Minister Tunç's position has been weakened.
According to the information conveyed, the travel ban on Fenerbahçe President Saadettin Saran was lifted during the days when Saran and his management visited Minister of Justice Tunç and presented him with a jersey. However, it was stated that after Saran went abroad, a new Istanbul-based decision reimposed a travel ban and issued a detention order. It was noted that this situation was interpreted in the corridors as "Minister Tunç is being undermined."
ALLEGATIONS OF NEWS LEAKS
Although the investigation is confidential, it was alleged that some information was leaked in advance to media outlets close to the government. It was reported that the news in the Sabah newspaper, in particular, drew attention.
While it was stated that the way the news was presented gave the impression of a "settling of scores" with names like Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Saadettin Saran, it was noted that one part of the pro-government media highlighted these reports, while another part published content supporting Mehmet Akif Ersoy. This situation was reported to indicate a disagreement within the media wing.
Zeyrek included assessments suggesting that the connections established through the names in the investigation file are targeting certain important figures within the AK Party.
In this context, it was alleged that attention has turned to the Directorate of Communications following the inclusion of Furkan Torlak, a former colleague of Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, in the file and the mention of Kübra Nur Uslu's name.
In the secret witness testimonies that were allegedly leaked, it was claimed that names such as Süleyman Soylu and Ömer Çelik, whose closeness to Mehmet Akif Ersoy was emphasized, were also intended to be discredited.
THE HAKAN FİDAN CLAIM
The article also included claims that Hakan Fidan, whose name is mentioned for leadership after Erdoğan, is facing a similar discrediting process during this period. However, it was stated that the Fidan camp reacted to this situation and distanced itself from Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
At the end of his article, Deniz Zeyrek shared a striking piece of inside information. Zeyrek reported that while Mehmet Akif Ersoy's public profile was being 'blackened,' the profile of another figure from the same circle was being 'polished.'
