On February 27, terrorist leader Öcalan issued a call to lay down arms. While questions remain as to whether this call covers the SDF, a new development has occurred.

The SDF has reached an agreement with the new Syrian administration under the control of the jihadist HTS.
According to journalist Hilal Köylü, who evaluated this situation on her X account, the new resolution process will accelerate.
Köylü's relevant post is as follows:
"Syria is affected by developments in Turkey, and Turkey is affected by developments in Syria. The process will accelerate. A new call will come from Öcalan on March 21.
