Berhan Şimşek expelled from CHP
The Republican People's Party (CHP) High Disciplinary Board has decided to expel Berhan Şimşek from the party.
The CHP High Disciplinary Board met at the party headquarters. The board reviewed expulsion requests for a total of 32 individuals, including the file of Berhan Şimşek, against whom an expulsion process had been initiated.
The meeting, which began at 1:00 PM, lasted approximately 6 hours.
According to information obtained after the meeting, former CHP Istanbul Deputy Berhan Şimşek, former Aydın Deputy Metin Lütfü Baydar, former Sultanbeyli Delegate Özgür Çelik, and former CHP Youth Branch President Erhan Baydar were expelled from the party with a permanent expulsion penalty in accordance with the provision of 'engaging in attitudes and behaviors incompatible with the duties, responsibilities, and membership held within the party' as specified in Article 68/1-b of the CHP bylaws.
