Beyoğlu İSPARK evacuated! Renovation process begins

The İSPARK Tepebaşı Parking Garage in Beyoğlu has been closed to new vehicle entries as a precaution after cracks were detected in certain parts of the building. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) officials announced that the building will undergo renovations once the vehicles currently in the parking garage have been removed by their owners.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality issued a statement regarding the matter on its official social media account. The statement reported that a decision was made to evacuate the building and the parking garage following the detection of the cracks. The following statements were included in the İBB's announcement:

"Due to deformations observed at several points in the Beyoğlu Tepebaşı Parking Garage yesterday and today, a decision has been made to evacuate the building and the parking garage as a precautionary measure. All necessary measures regarding the structure will be taken rapidly within the scope of an action plan to be determined by relevant expert teams. The public will be informed throughout the process."

VEHICLE EVACUATION PROCESS HAS BEGUN

Vehicle owners at the parking garage have begun evacuating their vehicles under the guidance of the İBB. Officials announced that following the evacuation process, expert teams will conduct a detailed inspection of the building and repair work will commence.

RENOVATION WORKS PLANNED

The extent of the cracks and the general condition of the Tepebaşı Parking Garage will become clear after the technical inspection is conducted. The İBB stated that the parking garage will be reopened for service once the work is completed. No definitive information has been provided yet regarding the duration of the renovation.
