Bilal Erdoğan speaks at Gaza rally: 'Capital owners should watch their step'

Foundations and associations close to the AKP organized a rally for Gaza on the Galata Bridge titled 'Mercy to our martyrs, support for Palestine, curse on Israel'.

The rally, which began with a march, was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop, AKP Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar, AKP Mersin Deputy Nureddin Nebati, AKP Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu, Bilal Erdoğan—son of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and member of the TÜGVA High Advisory Board—Erdoğan's son-in-law and Baykar Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar, AKP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, as well as many deputies and AKP district mayors.

Speaking at the rally, Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Dissemination of Knowledge (İlim Yayma Vakfı) and member of the TÜGVA High Advisory Board, said: “On October 7, Israeli Nazism began one of the bloodiest massacres in history, slaughtering hundreds of children every day. It continued to take the lives and property of our brothers in a new dimension, and the world remained a spectator. This morning, on the morning of the first day of the year, we want to shout out to the whole world from Istanbul. As those who do not sleep, who follow both our 12 martyrs and what is happening in Palestine, we want to shout out to the world; we cannot remain indifferent to what is happening. We promise to continue to shout for truth and justice to the whole world. Jerusalem is our first qibla, because Al-Aqsa Mosque is our sacred sanctuary. Our ancestors who came before us watered these lands with the blood of martyrs. They ensured that members of the 3 religions lived in peace and tranquility in these lands. We cannot remain indifferent to those who have eyes on our lands and who have shed the blood of millions with the fallacy of the 'Promised Land' (Arz-ı Mevud), in order to gouge out their eyes.”

HE ADDRESSED CAPITAL OWNERS: WATCH YOUR STEP

Continuing his remarks, Erdoğan said: “We cannot remain indifferent because the murderers of our tens of thousands of martyrs before the last 12 martyrs we gave are the same. On the morning of the first day of the year, on the Galata Bridge in Istanbul, hundreds of thousands of us know who the murderers of our martyrs, whom we have given throughout the years of the fight against terrorism, are. We know that those who cause the Palestinian genocide and the murderers of our martyrs are the same. Only when we are united can we be strong enough to stand against these atrocities. We know that those who try to create artificial agendas to divide us and those who try to dilute the Palestinian cause are influence agents of the US and Israel. We also know who those who fuel refugee hostility are. We also know that the breaking of the shackles of Hagia Sophia under the leadership of our Presidency is the first step toward the freedom of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. We promise to continue the boycott; this will not end with a ceasefire. As long as the Palestinian cause continues, we will make room for the boycott in our lives, and we will do our best so that these capital owners watch their step.”
