Bilgi University closed by Erdoğan's decree
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, Istanbul Bilgi University has been closed.
With a Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, the operating license of Istanbul Bilgi University, whose founding foundation had a trustee appointed to it, has been revoked.
The decision stated that the action was taken in accordance with the additional 11th article of the Higher Education Law No. 2547.
Istanbul Bilgi University students will continue their studies under the supervision of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, which is the official guarantor institution.
The students' diplomas and educational rights will be under the guarantee of MSGSÜ.
