The AKP and MHP submitted a joint bill to the Turkish Grand National Assembly yesterday, prepared for the social rights and monthly pensions of families of martyrs and veterans.
The main points of the announced regulations were stated as follows:
Veterans' status will be granted to soldiers who were not previously considered disabled despite being wounded by firearms during the fight against terrorism, and these individuals will be able to benefit from veterans' pensions and social rights.
A new regulation will be introduced regarding home care allowances for veterans.
Monthly pensions paid to military students, civilians, non-commissioned officers, and privates who are considered disabled in the line of duty under the Anti-Terror Law No. 3713 will be increased.
It was stated that no decision has been made regarding the introduction of a minimum income guarantee for the mothers and fathers of martyrs.
In a statement made at Güven Park yesterday, families of martyrs and veterans stated that the prepared bill did not meet their demands.
