Blackmail against Formula 1 star Schumacher; they took private images and demanded 12 million pounds
Famous Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher and his family have been the target of a blackmail attempt. It has been learned that in the trial to be held in Germany this month regarding the incident, Schumacher's former bodyguard, Markus Fritsche, will be tried for aiding and abetting blackmail. The blackmail attempt, which includes over a thousand private images and videos, is also said to contain Schumacher's medical records.
HE HAD BEEN MEETING ONLY WITH TRUSTED INDIVIDUALS FOLLOWING HIS TRAGIC ACCIDENT
Since his skiing accident in 2013, the Formula 1 star has avoided the public eye due to his wife Corinne's sensitivity regarding the privacy of his condition. Following the brain injury he sustained, it is known that only a few trusted individuals have had access to Schumacher at his luxury mansion, and that Markus Fritsche managed to enter his inner circle as a bodyguard about 1 year before the accident.

According to a report by the Mail Online, Fritsche, who was part of the family for 8 years, also gained access to private details regarding the F1 driver's health.
HE SOLD THE BLACKMAIL IMAGES TO A TURKISH NATIONAL
Following changes made to Schumacher's care and Fritsche's subsequent dismissal, it was learned that the former bodyguard sold Schumacher's private photos to his friend, Yılmaz Töztürkan.

It is alleged that IT specialist Daniel Lins was also hired to carry out this plan together.
HOW WAS THE BLACKMAIL PLOT REVEALED?
In court, it was stated that Töztürkan called the family on June 3, demanded 12 million pounds, and threatened that if payment was not made, he would publish the data on the dark web and expose the Formula 1 star's private life to the public.

Later, it was learned that Töztürkan's son sent 4 images to Schumacher's home on June 11, demanding money from the family in exchange for privacy.
UPON BEING CAUGHT, THEY ALSO EXPOSED THE BODYGUARD
Court documents state that former bodyguard Fritsche was also caught and arrested based on the statements given by Töztürkan and his son, who were arrested by German police 1 week after the blackmail attempt.
1,700 IMAGES AND MEDICAL RECORDS WERE SEIZED
It is known that the data found on USB drives and hard disks, which were allegedly taken from the family mansion, contains approximately 1,500 pictures, 200 videos, and Schumacher's medical records.
THE TRIAL WILL BE HELD THIS MONTH
According to Eurosport, while Fritsche and Lins will be tried for aiding and abetting the crime, Töztürkan, who is alleged to be the blackmailer, will be charged with attempted extortion.
