Blood and hair samples taken from famous figures

The drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting famous figures continues.

A sixth wave of operations was carried out today as part of the investigation.

18 SUSPECTS DETAINED

18 suspects were detained in the operation carried out by teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch.

It was learned that the names detained include Burak Doğan, Merve Sanay, and Deniz Berk Cengiz.

ÜMİT KARAN IS ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS INVESTIGATION

On the other hand, it was learned that today's operation is a continuation of the operation in which former football player Ümit Karan was detained yesterday.

Karan had been detained by police teams at Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

The suspects are expected to be referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan today following their procedures at the police station.

SUSPECTS BROUGHT TO THE COUNCIL OF FORENSIC MEDICINE

The suspects, including former football player Ümit Karan, were brought to the Council of Forensic Medicine. The procedures for the suspects, from whom blood and hair samples were taken for analysis, have been completed.

HE WAS AT A TURF FIELD MATCH WITH BİLAL ERDOĞAN

Ümit Karan was most recently seen posing for cameras at a turf field match during a TÜGVA event attended by Bilal Erdoğan, the son of AKP President Erdoğan.
