Blow to Barış Boyun and Daltonlar gangs: 99 people arrested

In operations carried out across various provinces in Turkey, a major blow was dealt to the 'Boyun' gang, led by Barış Boyun who is currently detained in Italy, and the 'Daltonlar' gang, headed by Berat Can Gökdemir who is also detained abroad. Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that a heavy blow was dealt to the criminal organizations with the 'Kuyu-36' operation. During the operations, 157 people were detained, including Ece Boyun, the wife of Barış Boyun, who is wanted by Interpol with a 'red notice'.

99 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Of the suspects referred to the courthouse, 99 people, including Ece Boyun, the wife of Barış Boyun, were arrested, while 15 suspects were released under judicial control and 43 people were released following prosecution procedures.

INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 110 INCIDENTS

It was determined that the gang members were involved in 110 different incidents using stolen vehicles or motorcycles with helmets. Investigations were launched against the organized crime group members for crimes including intentional homicide, attempted intentional homicide, intentional injury, robbery, threats for the purpose of robbery, arms trafficking, manufacturing and trafficking of drugs, intentional endangerment of general security, threats, and property damage.

ASSUMED THE ROLE OF 'HANIMAĞA'

Important information regarding Barış Boyun's wife, Ece Boyun, was also included in the referral document.
