Boat experiencing engine failure in the Dardanelles rescued

A 7-meter-long boat that suddenly broke down while navigating the Dardanelles was safely brought to shore through the efforts of Coastal Safety teams, who reached the area in a short time. The incident occurred off the coast of Eceabat.

After the boat began to drift at sea following a technical failure in its engines, the captain immediately reported the situation to the Vessel Traffic Services. Evaluating the report, the teams quickly arrived at the scene.

The KEGM-6 fast rescue boat, belonging to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, successfully towed the disabled boat, which had only one person on board, to the Eceabat Pier. No injuries occurred during the incident, and after the towing operation was completed, the boat was taken to a safe zone, and work was initiated to repair the fault.
