Body of Bahar Aksu, murdered in Şişli, retrieved from the Forensic Medicine Institute
The body of Bahar Aksu, who was shot and killed in the middle of the street by her ex-husband in Şişli, Istanbul, has been handed over to her relatives following procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institute.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the morning on Kazım Orbay Street in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Şişli. Bahar Aksu (34) was on her way to the hotel where she worked as an assistant cook when she was targeted by her ex-husband, Rüstem Elibol (37), and three others who attempted to abduct her. Aksu, who was being forced into a vehicle, shouted for help.
The young woman, who tried to escape, was shot and killed.
While Aksu's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue, an operation was launched to apprehend her ex-husband, who shot and killed her, along with the other perpetrators.
Three individuals were caught by police teams conducting checks at the city exit in Silivri, while Rüstem Elibol, who has a criminal record of 5 offenses, was apprehended in Kağıthane.
Aksu's body, which had been brought to the Forensic Medicine Institute, was retrieved by her relatives. It was learned that Bahar Aksu's body will be taken to Edirne for burial.
