After a foul odor was reported coming from a basement apartment in an apartment building on Aktepe Street in the Atatürk neighborhood of Küçükçekmece, neighbors notified the police.

Upon the report, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

The teams, who were able to enter the apartment with the help of the fire department, discovered a male body.

Following an examination at the scene, it was determined that the body belonged to 48-year-old Kazım T. and that he had died 3 days ago.
