Bolu Mountain Tunnel Istanbul-bound lanes reopened after 14 hours

The Istanbul-bound direction of the Bolu Mountain Tunnel crossing on the Anatolian Motorway, one of Turkey's most important transit points, was closed to traffic at 08:00 this morning.

Drivers heading toward Istanbul were diverted to the D-100 highway from the Abant Junction.

During the work, which lasted approximately 14 hours, cleanup was carried out in the landslide area at the tunnel exit, and joint repairs were performed on the Ekrem Özdemir Viaduct.

Following the completion of the work, traffic toward Istanbul was reopened as of 22:00.

Throughout the day, traffic congestion occurred from time to time on the D-100 Bolu Mountain pass, where drivers were diverted.
