Bosphorus reopened to vessel traffic

In a post on the social media account of the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, it was stated: "Our KURTARMA-5 tugboat was immediately dispatched to the 106-meter-long dry cargo ship named B LINE, which experienced a mechanical failure off Akıntıburnu in the Bosphorus while sailing from Israel to Bulgaria. Bosphorus vessel traffic has been temporarily suspended in both directions."

BOSPHORUS REOPENED TO VESSEL TRAFFIC

The Bosphorus was reopened to vessel traffic after an approximately one-hour break, following the towing of the dry cargo ship that experienced a mechanical failure to Ahırkapı.

The Bosphorus, which had been closed to two-way vessel traffic due to the 106-meter-long dry cargo ship named B Line experiencing a mechanical failure off Beşiktaş Akıntıburnu while en route from Israel to Bulgaria, was reopened to traffic after the ship was towed to the Ahırkapı Anchorage Area.

In a statement made on the social media account of the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, it was noted that "The ship named B Line was safely anchored at Ahırkapı under the coordination of our Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services Center, accompanied by our pilot and tugboats."
