Breaking News: 25 individuals wanted with Red Notices in 18 countries captured in Turkey

The Kuyu-21 operation was carried out in 8 provinces, including Antalya, Bursa, Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin, Sakarya, Samsun, and Trabzon.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that within the scope of the operation, 25 suspects were captured who were wanted by a total of 18 countries—Germany, Australia, Azerbaijan, Morocco, the Netherlands, Iraq, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Russia, Syria, Turkmenistan, and Jordan—via Interpol Red Notice and Diffusion Message (Urgent Capture Message).

Yerlikaya used the following expressions in his statement:

"It was determined that the suspects captured in the operations had arrest records for the following crimes:

Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes or Being a Member of an Organization,

Drug Trafficking,

Intentional Homicide,

Deprivation of Liberty,

Sexual Crimes,

Forgery of Official Documents,

Fraud,

Money Laundering,

Human Trafficking, and

Migrant Smuggling.

The suspects, who were sought by Interpol and were determined to be in our country as a result of meticulous investigations by our police, were handed over to the Provincial Directorates of Migration Management, and deportation procedures were initiated immediately.”
