As part of the "Kıskaç-40" operation conducted against FETÖ, a major operation was carried out over allegations that the organization was being financed through the restaurant chain Maydonoz Döner. In the operations held in 31 provinces centered in Antalya, 353 suspects, including the company's partners, were detained.

TRUSTEE APPOINTED TO THE COMPANY

While the investigation continues, it has been learned that a trustee has been appointed to Maydonoz Döner, which has hundreds of branches. It was reported that company partners Yücel Bahri Öntemel, Cuma Dağlı, Engin Kayıkçı, Mehmet Kaşlı, Ömer Faruk Ekim, and Ömer Şeyhin were detained as part of the operation.

MINISTER YERLİKAYA ANNOUNCED THE OPERATION

Announcing the operation, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated that the restaurant chain operated under a franchise model and offered unofficial partnerships to individuals linked to the organization in exchange for payment. Yerlikaya stated that FETÖ both provided employment and facilitated cash flow through these branches.

It was also determined that the organization used the restaurant chain to collect "himmet" (donations), employed various methods to ensure that money obtained from share sales would not be detected, and facilitated money transfers through franchises abroad.
