AFAD reported that a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Kelkit district of Gümüşhane.
According to data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Kelkit district of Gümüşhane at 06:09.
The tremor was determined to have occurred at a depth of 5.09 kilometers.
Gümüşhane Governor Aydın Baruş stated in a post on his social media account that field scanning efforts are ongoing following the earthquake.
Baruş stated, "As of 06:09, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in our Kelkit district. No negative reports have been received so far due to the earthquake. Get well soon Kelkit, get well soon Gümüşhane."
On the other hand, the earthquake was also felt in surrounding provinces.
