Breaking News: Administrative investigation launched into lieutenants... Statement from the Ministry of National Defense

Lieutenants who recently graduated from the Military Academy drew their swords and took an oath for the founder of the Republic of Turkey, the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Circles close to the government hinted that the young lieutenants were 'coup plotters' based on the footage in question.

According to the report by 12punto columnist Müyesser Yıldız, an administrative investigation has been launched into the lieutenants who drew their swords and chanted "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" after the Military Academy graduation ceremony.

It was learned that the senior lieutenants were called to the school today and that the investigation was initiated not because of the ceremony, but because of social media posts.

Journalist and 12punto columnist Müyesser Yıldız stated that some lieutenants at the Military Academy were questioned by administrators after the lieutenant ceremony and shared the following information:

''Let me share the information I have obtained.

After the lieutenants' ceremony, Military Academy administrators called in some students, including the top graduate Ebru Eroğlu, and asked them why they did this. They explained their reasons.

The lieutenants interpreted this verbal questioning as an "investigation."

There may not have been an official investigation at the Military Academy; but does this statement also mean that no investigation will be launched into the lieutenants by the Training and Doctrine Command (EDOK) or the Land Forces Command from now on?

Let us recall; after the events that took place on November 10 last year at the Tuzla Infantry School when a lieutenant did not wear an Atatürk pin were revealed, the Ministry of National Defense first said it was a "clear example of disinformation."

Then, it announced that an administrative and judicial investigation had been launched, and ultimately, all the lieutenants involved in the events were dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces.

I hope it will not be the same this time!..''

Müyesser Yıldız, in a post on her social media account, shared a message written by one of the lieutenants in a WhatsApp group.

STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE

In the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, it was noted that the lieutenants no longer have any ties to the school as they have graduated, and the following was said:

"The graduation ceremonies of the Military Academies were held on August 30-31, and the graduated lieutenants have no administrative ties to the Military Academies.

The allegations that the lieutenants were called to the school and that an investigation was opened against them due to social media posts are not true."

On the other hand, the ministry did not include information in its statement regarding whether an investigation had been launched into the lieutenants by the Land Forces Command.
