Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced the grim toll of traffic accidents that occurred during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
On the second day of Eid al-Adha, 683 traffic accidents occurred, resulting in 9 deaths and 1,143 injuries.
According to Minister Yerlikaya's post, a total of 2,238 traffic accidents occurred on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. In these accidents, 26 citizens lost their lives, and 3,590 citizens were injured.
Yerlikaya reported that teams inspected 1 million 351 thousand 653 vehicles during the first 3 days of the holiday.
On the 2nd day of Eid al-Adha (Saturday), 683 traffic accidents occurred. Unfortunately, 9 of our citizens lost their lives at the scene in these accidents. 1,143 of our citizens were injured.
