Breaking News... Armed attack on Zeydan Karalar's Chief of Staff Samet Güdük! Attacker turns out to be a municipal employee

Gunshots were heard at the Adana Metropolitan Municipality around 12:30 PM. M.G. (44), a municipal Public Bread (Halk Ekmek) employee, carried out an armed attack on Zeydan Karalar's Chief of Staff, Samet Güdük, inside the municipal building.

Güdük, who was struck by 3 bullets, was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery.

While the attacker fled the scene after the incident, it was learned that Güdük's condition is critical.

FIRST STATEMENT FROM ZEYDAN KARALAR

Speaking to Halk TV, Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar said, "We are also shocked. This is an attack carried out by a municipal employee. He was a staff member we had hired. Our brother Samet's condition is critical. We do not know what lies behind this."

ATTACKER CAPTURED

In a statement regarding the incident, the Adana Governor's Office stated, "It has been determined that the incident was carried out due to a debt dispute, and the suspect has been captured."
