Breaking News... Black box of the plane that crashed in Ankara has been found
The black box of the plane that crashed in Ankara, resulting in the loss of 8 lives including the Libyan Chief of General Staff and the Commander of the Land Forces, has been recovered.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya made statements regarding the private jet that crashed in the Haymana district of Ankara. The plane, which was carrying Libyan Chief of General Staff General Mohamed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad and the Commander of the Land Forces, had taken off from Esenboğa Airport bound for Tripoli.
However, contact with the plane was lost at 20:52 after it reported that it would return due to a technical malfunction at 20:32.
Following the accident, upon receiving a report at the 112 Emergency Call Center, Gendarmerie, AFAD, Police, and UMKE teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Gendarmerie teams reached the scene around 22:00 and found the wreckage of the plane. The debris was located approximately 2 kilometers south of the Kesikkavak neighborhood in the Haymana district.
As a result of the search efforts, the plane's cockpit voice recorder was found at 02:45, and the black box was found at 03:20. It was reported that the examination and evaluation of these devices have begun. Additionally, a 22-person team from Libya has arrived in Ankara.
