As part of the second reconciliation process, which the government has named a "Terror-Free Turkey," members of the commission established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) from the AKP, MHP, and DEM Party visited İmralı last week to meet with Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK.
Following this meeting, it was announced that the reconciliation commission would convene on December 4.

In a statement released by the DEM Party, it was reported that the delegation traveling to İmralı included Pervin Buldan, Mithat Sancar, and Faik Özgür Erol.
