Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that Sammy Ali, one of the leaders of a drug cartel wanted with a Red Notice, was captured in Istanbul as part of the KARTEL-4 operation.
In a statement on his social media account, Minister of Interior Yerlikaya said, "Sammy Ali, who was captured in Üsküdar, Istanbul, during the 'Kartel-4' operation carried out by the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes, Intelligence, and Anti-Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates branches, and who had a Red Notice issued against him, was determined to have been involved in drug trafficking in Germany, supplying drugs, organizing storage facilities for drugs, and financing drug operations."
