Breaking News... Drug operation targeting celebrities: 7 detention warrants issued

New developments are emerging in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Within the scope of the operation, celebrities Aleyna Tilki, Danla Bilic, and İrem Sak were detained by teams from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command.

RELEASE OF SERCAN YAŞAR

Another notable development in the drug investigation was the release of social media influencer and business owner Sercan Yaşar. Yaşar, who had been previously arrested, was brought to the courthouse yesterday to provide a statement to the prosecutor. The prosecutor decided to allow Yaşar to benefit from "effective remorse provisions" and ordered his release.

ARREST WARRANTS FOR GARİPOĞLU AND ATEŞ

In the drug investigation, arrest warrants were also issued for Kasım Garipoğlu and Burak Ateş on charges of "supplying narcotic substances," "facilitating their use," and "use of narcotics." While operations to apprehend the suspects are ongoing, the investigation is expected to expand further.

MEHMET AKİF ERSOY AND ELA RÜMEYSA CEBECİ WERE ARRESTED

Among those previously arrested in this context were former Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy and presenter Ela Rümeysa Cebeci. Both individuals had been detained and subsequently arrested as part of the drug investigation.
