Breaking News: İmamoğlu responds to Yusuf Tekin's insults

İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made statements to journalists at the Akşemsettin Children's Education Center.

Speaking about Tekin's insults, İmamoğlu said, "Regarding the text written, they said 'they couldn't understand, they are pretending not to understand,' and they also used insulting sentences, but I will not go into those. While expressing that part, let me say this: I think they cannot understand what they write. Because the intention is one thing, the writing is another."

İmamoğlu explained how Tekin, who used the term "trickery" regarding his university graduation, became a professor.

İmamoğlu said the following:

"When they get into my very private matters, I don't usually engage in these things. I mean, I could say to you, 'Look at the diploma of the person who appointed you first,' but I won't go there. But I will go here, for example. I will go here. One, Mr. Yusuf, isn't he a minister? How did Mr. Yusuf become a professor? Do our citizens know how one becomes a professor in this country? You are required to remain in an associate professorship position for 5 years. Well, did Mr. Yusuf stay in an associate professorship position for 5 years? He did not.

How did he become a professor? He was supposed to stay for 5 years. He didn't. Well, Mr. Yusuf, who didn't stay for 5 years, then became a professor, and then became a rector. How? How does one become a rector? You need to have been a professor for 3 years. 3 years. You need to have been a professor for 3 years. He became a professor just like that, and a rector just like that.
